## Opening Settings

Click the **gear icon** at the bottom of the left sidebar. That's it.

On mobile: tap the gear icon at the top of the screen, then find the settings tabs.

## Chat Settings

These control how the AI responds to you.

### Model Auto-Router

**Toggle: ON/OFF**

When ON, DatBot automatically picks the best model and temperature for each message. Good for most people.

When OFF, you choose the model yourself. Good if you have strong opinions about which AI handles your requests.

### Default Model

Only shows when Auto-Router is OFF.

Pick from 40+ models:
- **DatBot Blends** - Our custom combinations (Fast Blend, HQ Blend, etc.)
- **GPT 5.2** - OpenAI's latest
- **Claude 4.5** - Anthropic's models
- **Gemini 3** - Google's offerings
- **Grok, DeepSeek, Llama 4** - And more

Different models have different personalities. GPT tends to be thorough, Claude writes well, Gemini handles long contexts. Experiment.

### Temperature

Only shows when Auto-Router is OFF.

Controls creativity vs. consistency:
- **Low (Precise)** - Focused, predictable. Good for code, data, facts.
- **High (Creative)** - More varied, surprising. Good for brainstorming, writing.

Default is somewhere in the middle.

### Maximum Context Length

How much conversation history the AI sees. Higher = remembers more, uses more credits. Set to 0 for the model's maximum.

Start around 4,000-16,000. Increase if the AI seems forgetful.

### Enter Key Behavior

- **Checked**: Enter sends message, Shift+Enter adds new line
- **Unchecked**: Enter adds new line, Shift+Enter sends

Pick your preference.

### Enhance Logical Reasoning

Toggle ON for complex analytical tasks. Makes the AI think step-by-step using an advanced reasoning framework.

**Turn ON for:** Analysis, math, logic problems, structured thinking

**Turn OFF for:** Casual chat, creative writing, speed

### Use Knowledge Map for Replies

Toggle ON to include your uploaded documents in AI responses.

**Turn ON when:** You need info from your docs

**Turn OFF when:** You don't, or you want faster responses

## Audio Settings

Access via the three-dot menu → "Audio Settings"

### Text-to-Speech (TTS)

Make the AI talk back to you.

- **Enable TTS** - Master toggle
- **Provider** - Local (Kokoro), Cloud API, or Browser
- **Language** - English, Spanish, French, Hindi, Chinese, Portuguese, Italian
- **Voice** - Various options per language
- **Speed** - 0.5x to 2x
- **Auto-play** - Automatically read responses aloud

### Speech-to-Text (STT)

Talk instead of type.

- **Enable STT** - Master toggle
- **Language** - 60+ options
- **Mode** - Auto, Local Only, or Server Only
- **Auto-send** - Say "enter" to send automatically
- **Undo command** - Say a word to remove last input

## Account Management

Click your email/name at the bottom left of the sidebar.

### What You'll See

- **Current Plan** - Free, Solo Pro, Team, or Business
- **Credits Used** - Monthly usage (or daily for free plans)
- **Team Members** - If you're on a team plan

### Managing Your Subscription

Click **"Manage Subscription"** to open the Stripe billing portal. From there:
- Update payment method
- View billing history
- Change plans
- Cancel subscription

### Auto Top-Up

**Checkbox: Enable Auto Top-Up**

When checked, DatBot automatically buys more credits when you're running low. Only available on paid plans.

### Team Management

If you're on Team or Business:

**Adding members:**
1. Find an empty seat row
2. Click the **+** icon
3. Enter their name and email
4. They get an invitation email

**Removing members:**
1. Find them in the list
2. Click the trash icon
3. Confirm

Credits are shared across the team. One pool, everyone draws from it.

## Theme

Toggle dark/light mode from the three-dot menu. Click the sun/moon icon.

Your preference saves automatically.

## Exporting Chats

Three-dot menu → **"Export Chat"**

Downloads your conversation as a CSV file. Open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or any text editor.

## Troubleshooting

| Problem | Solution |
|---------|----------|
| Settings not saving | Check internet, refresh page |
| TTS not working | Verify it's enabled, check volume |
| Can't add team members | Make sure you're the account owner |
| Model dropdown empty | Refresh page, check subscription |
